One more death of a H1N1 positive patient has taken the toll of fatalities from Swine Flu in Oman to 27, according to a press release issued by the Ministry of Health.

Muscat: One more death of a H1N1 positive patient has taken the toll of fatalities from Swine Flu in Oman to 27, according to a press release issued by the Ministry of Health on Saturday.

The number of positive cases in the country has gone up to 4173, the press release said.

No details about the deceased were revealed.

Meanwhile, the Ministry has started giving H1N1 vaccine after receiving 120,000 doses. Oman is expected to receive 2.5 million doses by March 2010.

Priority in vaccination is being given to Haj pilgrims, followed by frontline health workers, pregnant women, children and people with high-risk illnesses.
