Muscat: Oman’s Sultan Haitham Bin Tariq on the occasion of greeting the citizens and residents, reaffirmed the government’s priority of pressing ahead with its efforts to provide safe vaccines to all individuals of the society.

Last week Oman’s Ministry of Health had announced about the next phase of vaccination in Oman that will involve citizens and residents above 45 years of age as well as school-final students who have to appear for board examinations.

Many private companies had started registering for providing vaccination for its staff and their dependent members as part of government’s efforts to expand the vaccination drive. To facilitate inoculation for school final students, the MoH has even put off the second-dose vaccination date for Pfizer shots.

For the next phase of vaccination in Oman many public facilities like schools, stadiums, and exhibition centres will be converted into vaccination centres. Oman Exhibition and Convention Centre has also been announced as one of the vaccination centres in the capital for this purpose.
