Omani sued for not paying at cake shop

Muscat: The owner of a Muscat cake shop is suing an Omani national for failing to pay for a cake he purchased last month.

The man reportedly did not have enough cash in his pocket and promised to pay the remainder of the bill later.

Later, the man forgot to pay the rest of the bill and said he did not do it on purpose.

During the hearing on Sunday at the Muscat Criminal Court, the man explained the shop did not accept his bank card when he realised he did not have enough money.

He offered to go to the ATM to get the rest of the money but the cashier told him he can pay later.
