Dubai: A group of expats have been arrested by the Royal Oman Police (ROP) for violating public morals.
According to the ROP official twitter account, the North Al Sharqiyah Police Command has arrested a group of expats on charges of violating public morals. Legal procedures are being taken against them.”
Three more expats were also arrested on charges of smuggling, trafficking and promoting narcotic substances.
A statement issued online by the ROP said: “After continuous tracking and monitoring operations, the General Administration for Combating Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances, in cooperation with the Police Command of Al Buraimi Governorate, arrested three expatriates on charges of smuggling, trafficking in and promoting narcotic substances. Seized from their possession is 10 kilograms of crystal drug. The case is under investigation.”
