Cairo: The Omani Health Ministry reported on Monday 144 new coronavirus cases, raising to 1,410 the country's overall infections and seven deaths. The newly diagnosed cases are 58 Omanis and 86 foreigners, the ministry added in an update without giving a breakdown.

The total number of recovered coronavirus patients in Oman stands at 238, according to the ministry.

On Sunday, Oman announced the death of a 59-year-old foreign resident due to COVID-19, bringing the total such fatalities in the sultanate to seven.
