Muscat: Oman’s Mwasalat services has scheduled new timings for its bus and ferry services in the wake of the partial lockdown announced by Oman’s Supreme Committee effective today. While bus services to Salalah remain unchanged, other inter-city services, from Muscat to cities like Sohar, Nizwa and Buraimi, have been rescheduled to reach the destination by 6pm.

Within Muscat and Salalah, services will be operational till 6pm. Trips from and to Musandam will be rescheduled based on the demand from commuters.

Starting today, Oman goes once again into a partial lockdown from 8pm till 4am to bring the coronavirus infections down, which have been on the rise. Within the capital city, Mwasalat services have become essential for commuters, with many preferring to use the bus service, which is known for its reliability and regularity.

Two days ago, Mwasalat introduced three additional services on its Muscat-Salalah route, given the onset of the Khareef season in Salalag, which makes it a popular getaway for residents and citizens from around Oman.

Mwasalat also operates fast ferry services transporting people and goods between Shinas, Khasab, Lima, Dibba, Masirah and Shannah. Most of the ferry services are available daily, with some selected services available on certain designated days.
