Dubai: The Muscat Municipality has raided a night event held at a restaurant in Muttrah, local media reported on Friday.

The municipality said that the event was held in violation of the decisions of the Supreme Committee on COVID-19 and the restaurant did not have permits to hold the event.

The municipality confirmed that legal measures would be taken against the restaurant owner.

Meanwhile, a hairdressing and women’s beauty shop in the wilayat of Baushar was shut down by the Municipality for violating the decisions of the Supreme Committee.

A statement issued by Muscat Municipality said: “The inspection team at the Muscat municipality has shut down a hairdressing and women’s beauty shop in wilayat Baushar for violating health requirements specified in accordance with the decisions of the Supreme Committee, and for providing massage services, forbidden during the first phase of services being permitted.”

Additionally, three personal care centres for men have been shut in Baushar as well for violating the decision of the Supreme Committee.
