Muscat: The current ban on travellers from India will continue, according to a senior official at Oman’s Civil Aviation Authority. Normal flight operations have been cancelled till further notice. But special flights are operated by Oman Air, Salam Air, Air India and Air India Express to transport Indian citizens wanting to return to India.

Last week, during the Supreme Committee’s press conference, clarification was made about the flights from India to Oman, in the wake of suspension of normal flight operations between the two countries.

Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, in charge of the Civil Aviation Authority, said the flights between Oman and India are limited to returning Omani citizens, transporting health personnel, shipping goods, and facilitating the return of Indian citizens to their country.
