Muscat: Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre (OCEC) is all set to be converted into a vaccination centre for the next phase of vaccination set to start in June.

The undersecretaries of the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Tourism, along with their teams, inspected the work in progress.

The decision has been appreciated by Omani citizens and residents as OCEC is a well-known landmark in the capital and the sheer size of the facility means that it can handle large crowds.

The next phase of vaccination will involve citizens and residents above 45 years of age as well as final-year school students who have to appear for board examinations. Registration has already started by many private companies for the next phase of vaccination for their staff.
