Applications must be made 2 months before expiry of residency validity or travel date
Cairo: Indians in Kuwait are advised to apply for new passports “well in advance” to avoid delay, their country’s embassy has said.
“All are advised to apply for fresh passports two months prior to expiry of validity of their residency in Kuwait or intended date of travel,” the Indian embassy said in an online statement.
The mission said it endeavours to issue new passports at the earliest without any delay.
“However, certain category of passports require mandatory police verification necessitating additional processing time including correspondence with local authorities in India,” it added.
There are almost one million Indians in Kuwait.
