Kuwait City: On Saturday, a group of Palestinians launched a blood drive in an effort to return the favour to Kuwait for everything it has done for its residents, Al Qabas reported.

Dozens of Arab and Asian expats including Kuwaiti citizens, participated in the campaign, which was in cooperation with the blood bank.

“This is the second campaign we organize, after the successful one that took place in March. The turnout was higher than last time and we saw many different nationalities, and a remarkable presence of women,” said Ashraf Ramadan, spokesman for the campaign.

“The participation of the expat community is a way to send a message of thanks to the humanitarian country and all good it does to the world,” he added.

Some Kuwaitis participated in the blood donation campaign.
