Court orders defendant to pay KD500 bail to stay out of jail

Cairo: A Kuwaiti court had sentenced a civil servant to seven years in prison for having submitted a forged sick leave to her workplace, a Kuwaiti newspaper.

The Criminal Court ordered the defendant, who is a Kuwaiti national, to pay a bail of KD500 to stay outside prison pending an appeal, added Al Qabas.

The female defendant was also fined the double of 19-day pay, the work value of the days she stayed at home by virtue of the forged sick leave.

It is not clear yet when the case was exposed.
