Dubai: Kuwait’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry has announced a seasonal ban on the sale and circulation of water pistols and water-filled balloons from December to March each year, aiming to maintain public order and prevent disruptions linked to water-related activities.

The ministry said in a statement that the decision is part of regulatory measures to address concerns over public safety and the misuse of such items in public spaces.

It emphasised that enforcement will be coordinated with relevant authorities to ensure compliance.

Retailers and vendors found violating the ban could face penalties, though the ministry did not specify the exact nature of the sanctions. The move aligns with previous government efforts to regulate seasonal consumer goods and maintain order during peak public gatherings.
