Dubai: Kuwait’s Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has announced that the Eid Al Adha prayer will be held on Friday at 5:03 am across 57 designated sites in various governorates, in addition to mosques where the regular Friday prayer (Jumu'ah) is performed. Friday marks the first day of Eid Al Adha, one of the holiest occasions in the Islamic calendar, observed by Muslims worldwide with prayers, sacrifice, and acts of charity.

Bader Al Otaibi, Assistant Undersecretary at the ministry for the Mosque Sector, has issued a circular detailing the locations of designated prayer areas. These include public squares, youth centres, and standard sports fields across the country, prepared to accommodate large numbers of worshippers and facilitate smooth prayer gatherings.

The ministry called on the public to arrive early and follow the instructions of organisers to ensure the safety and serenity of the congregational prayer.

Kuwait’s public sector employees will enjoy a five-day long weekend from Thursday, June 5, to Monday, June 9, 2025, in observance of Arafat and Eid Al Adha, with work resuming on Tuesday, June 10.
