Dubai: Director-General of Muharraq Governorate Police announced on Saturday reporting 750 violations related to not wearing masks at public places, according to the Bahraini Ministry of Interior

Meanwhile, the department has taken legal actions to promote social distancing and banning gatherings of more than five persons in public places.

Director-General called upon citizens and residents to stay at home and leave only for necessary activities to support national efforts against coronavirus.

Meanwhile, the Director-General of Capital Governorate Police announced today the arrest of an Asian woman, 47, suspected of selling alcohol near her resident in Juffair.

He said that an investigation into received information led to identifying and arresting the woman and the confiscated of related items. Legal proceedings are being taken to refer the case to the Public Prosecution.

With the Eid coming up tomorrow, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa issued a royal decree pardoning and releasing 154 inmates, who have served part of their jail terms.

The kind royal gesture, marking Eid Al Fitr, reflects the King’s keenness to provide the pardoned inmates with the opportunity to integrate society anew and participate in the kingdom’s development march.
