Two more deaths have also been confirmed, taking the death toll to 45

Dubai: Bahrain confirmed another 317 new coronavirus infections on Monday, bringing the total number of cases in the country to 18,544, according to the Ministry of Health.
The new latest cases were detected after 6,779 new COVID-19 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours, pushing the overall tests done so far to 425,192.
The new cases include 51 expatriate workers, 164 people who had direct contact with previously infected individuals, and two others who had travelled abroad, according to the ministry.
Two more deaths have also been confirmed, taking the Kingdom’s death toll to 45.
“The Ministry of Health announces the death of a 35-year-old male expatriate and a 39-year-old male expatriate from COVID-19, and expresses its condolences to the families of the deceased.” The ministry tweeted.
Meanwhile, 379 people recovered from COVID-19, raising the total number of recoveries in the country to 13,197.
There are currently 140 people receiving treatment, out of which 18 are in a critical condition, the ministry added. So far, 5,286 people are stable out of a total of 5,304 active cases.
The ministry advised the public to adhere to precautionary measures and maintain social distancing rules to ensure that the virus is contained.
