Dubai: The Bahraini Ministry of Labour has settled the issue of unpaid wages and other matters for tens of migrant workers, who had recently gathered at the ministry.

In a series of tweets, the ministry affirmed it spared no effort to help all workers and protect their rights.

It is noteworthy that tens of migrant workers gathered at the Ministry of Labour to claim their unpaid wages. According to the news that went viral, there were around 40 workers employed with two different construction companies who had not received their wages for eight months.

News about unpaid wages is all too familiar these days, with workers, particularly blue-collar workers, suffering from the economic fallout of the COVID-19 pandemic and with oil prices hitting a rock bottom.
