Manama: Two soldiers from Bahrain were killed and others were injured in a Houthi drone attack along the border between Yemen and Saudi Arabia, the Bahraini military said on Monday.

The attack was on the Southern borders of Saudi Arabia with Yemen, Bahrain news agency said. A plane equipped with a medical team was dispatched to evacuate the martyrs and the injured to safety.

The victims "were martyred while performing their sacred national duty to defend the southern borders of the sister Kingdom of Saudi Arabia", which has led a military coalition against Yemen's Houthi rebels since 2015, the military said in a statement.
