Dubai: Bahrain’s Ministry of Health has announced the detection of 375 new cases of COVID-19 in foreign workers, contacts and some from recent arrivals to the island kingdom.
The latest cases were identified after health authorities conducted over 9,166 tests yesterday.
Health officials said that 138 expatriate workers were detected with the virus in the past 24 hours, in addition to 237 others who were infected from local contacts.
Meanwhile, the ministry also confirmed that 414 patients recovered from coronavirus while four patients have succumbed to the deadly virus.
This brings the total number of confirmed infections in the Kingdom to 42,889 and recoveries to 39,945 so far while there have been 158 deaths overall.
There are currently 41 COVID-19 cases in critical condition, and 76 cases receiving treatment. In all, 2,747 cases are stable out of a total of 2,788 active cases.
