At San Mamés Stadium ahead of the Women’s Euro 2025 clash between Portugal and Spain, both teams, match officials, and thousands of fans paused for a solemn minute of silence to honour the memory of Diogo Jota.

At Anfield, thousands of fans gathered to lay flowers, scarves, and messages of condolence outside the stadium gates. Supporters sang “You’ll Never Walk Alone” late into the evening in an emotional vigil.
