Manila: The Philippine military has approved a 133-per cent increase in the daily subsistence allowance for all soldiers — from Php150 to Php350 ($6).

This increase, meant to help with food and meal expenses, is now part of the approved 2025 General Appropriations Act, according to a recent Facebook post by the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).

Previously, each soldier received Php150 per day, but now around 150,000 military personnel nationwide will get Php350 daily.

Commitment

The AFP says this move shows the government’s strong commitment to improving the welfare and support of Filipino soldiers.

The AFP also clarified that rumors claiming the increase was disapproved are false and urged the public to help stop the spread of misinformation.
