Islamabad: A senator of the Pakistan People’s Party has denied reports that she has serious differences with Bilawal Bhutto and that she threatened to resign.

Senator Sehar Kamran threatened to take action against those responsible for spreading such “rumours”.

Talking to media persons in Parliament house on Tuesday Kamran said Bilawal Bhutto was the chairman of People’s Party and son of Benazir Bhutto. She described as incorrect reports that she had criticised the aid given by a Gulf country to Bilawal Bhutto and had threatened to resign over the issue.

She said that after party consultations she would send a legal notice to those responsible.

She said she had reservations about the manner in which the aid had been given, asking whether it was aid or a gift. If it was a gift then why was a personal guarantee given, Kamran asked.

She said it was best for Pakistan not to involve itself in the affairs of other countries.
