Islamabad: The defence lawyer for Osama Bin Laden's family says Pakistan will deport the slain Al Qaida chief's three widows and their children to Saudi Arabia next week

Mohammad Amir Khalil said the family would be deported on April 18, a day after they finish their 45-day prison sentence for illegally entering and living in the country.

Two of the widows are from Saudi Arabia and one from Yemen. It was unclear why the authorities were not sending the Yemeni woman to her home country.

Bin Laden's family has been in detention since American commandos killed the Al Qaida chief at a large compound where he was hiding in the Pakistani town of Abbottabad last May.
