Video clip, filmed from a distance, includes alarmed voices of bystanders reacting in fear
A shocking video from Bhavnagar, Gujarat, is making the rounds on social media, showing a man putting his life in danger by walking close to a wild lion as it feeds on its prey.
In the viral footage, the man can be seen holding up his phone seemingly intent on capturing a close-up video. Initially engrossed in its meal, the lion quickly becomes upset by the intrusion. It snarls and begins to approach the man, growling as a warning. Despite this, the man continues filming, slowly retreating while keeping the camera pointed at the predator.
The clip, filmed from a distance, includes the alarmed voices of bystanders reacting in fear as the lion moves. Thankfully, the situation didn’t escalate, and the man escaped unharmed.
The video was shared on X (formerly Twitter) with the caption: “The lion was happily eating its prey when this young man reached near the lion to take photos. At which the lion showed some displeasure. The video is from Bhavnagar, Gujarat.”
Calls for fines and stricter enforcement against such behavior have grown, as users question the obsession with dangerous selfies and viral moments.
