Hyderabad: Two men showed up at the police station at the Nampally 'mandal' (block) of Nalgonda district of Telangana with a severed head. There, they admitted to killing the man.

The personnel at Nampally police station were shocked to see two young men, identified as Mohammed Irfan and Mohammed Ghouse, entering the building with a severed head and a sickle. They were even more surprised when the duo surrendered.

According to police, the severed head belongs to a 28-year-old autorickshaw driver called Saddam. He was beheaded with a sickle used to cut coconuts.

Preliminary investigations revealed that Irfan and Ghouse murdered Saddam to avenge the death of a woman. The woman, who was a widow and thought of as a sister by both men, was taken to Hyderabad by Saddam some years ago. She was later found dead under suspicious circumstances in 2017. The duo blamed him for her death.
