A surprised rider documents the moment from the pickup point to the destination
Dubai: Stray dogs roaming the streets is a common sight in many parts of India.
For many residents, walking through their own neighborhoods can become a nerve-wracking experience due to the fear of being bitten.
While this issue is often overlooked, a recent viral video has brought it back into the spotlight — in a rather unexpected way.
A video shared on Instagram by an Indian content creator shows a woman booking a bike ride for an incredibly short distance — just 180 metres — simply to avoid walking past a group of stray dogs.
The rider, clearly surprised, documents the moment from the pickup point to the destination.
At first, he questions the unusually short booking, but the woman calmly explains that she’s scared of the dogs in the area.
The rider completes the trip with the fare coming to Rs 19.
Though amusing to some, the video resonated with many viewers who’ve experienced similar fears. It highlights not just the presence of stray dogs but also the lack of safety and proper urban animal control in many Indian cities.
