Men are suspected of murdering wives along with 14-year-old before attempting suicide.

Kolkata: The Kolkata Police investigating the mysterious deaths of three family members, including a minor girl, on February 19 have discovered that the family was heavily in debt despite maintaining a lavish lifestyle, sources revealed on Sunday.
Authorities are expected to take into custody Prasun De and Pranay Dey — brothers and husbands of the two deceased women — once they are released from the hospital.
The two men are suspected of murdering their wives, Romi Dey and Sudeshna Dey, along with 14-year-old Priyamvada Dey, the daughter of Prasun and Romi, before attempting suicide.
Their suicide plan failed when their vehicle met with a severe accident, leading to their hospitalisation. The bodies of the two women and the minor were discovered at their Tangra residence when Kolkata Police’s traffic department arrived to investigate the accident.
Initially, suicide was suspected, but autopsy reports ruled out this possibility, strengthening suspicions that the two brothers committed the murders.
Investigations have also revealed that despite massive debts from their leather goods business, the family continued living extravagantly, worsening their financial crisis.
Further inquiries uncovered that all CCTV cameras in the residence were switched off on the day of the murders, adding another layer of mystery to the case.
The investigation is ongoing, with police questioning close associates of the family to piece together the motive behind the tragic incident.
