Dubai: Kerala police have found crucial evidence to implicate Jolly Joseph in the Koodathayi serial killings that took place in the Kozhikode district of Kerala between 2002-2016.
They have found the bottle in which Jolly kept the cyanide, that was allegedly used to poison her victims.
According to a source in Koodathayi, the bottle was recovered during a search at the Ponnamattam house kitchen on Tuesday at 10pm.
The house was searched after Jolly confessed during interrogation. Police had kept the details of last night’s inspection quiet to prevent people and media from gathering.
Jolly’s police custody will end on Wednesday. Police will present this evidence at October 16's court hearing.
A special team headed by IT cell police superintendent Dr Divya V Gopinath is investigating documents at the Shanti Hospital in Omassery. This is where victims of the alleged poisoning were brought for treatment before they died.
Jolly is currently being interrogated in Vadakkara, while another team of investigating officers is talking to Rojo Thomas, the brother of Jolly’s first husband Roy. The case came to light after Rojo filed a complaint asking for further investigation into the death of his brother.
