Atul Subhash, a 34-year-old deputy general manager at a private firm, died by suicide on Monday in his Bengaluru apartment. He left behind a 24-page suicide note accusing his wife and her family of harassment. The note also alleged that a judge had demanded Rs 5 lakh to "settle" the case.
Subhash's father, Pawan Kumar, revealed that his son was deeply troubled due to multiple cases filed against him and his family by his wife.
"My son used to say that there is a lot of corruption, but he will fight as he is on the path of truth. He was broken from inside, though he never expressed it," Pawan Kumar told ANI.
The 24-page suicide note, which repeatedly bore the words "Justice is due," claimed that nine cases had been filed against Subhash by his wife. These cases included allegations of murder, sexual misconduct, harassment for money, domestic violence, and dowry demands.
