Dubai: Getting shot at didn’t stop this Delhi bride from getting married.

During a wedding ceremony in Delhi’s Shakarpur area on January 17, an unknown member of the crowd shot at the bride.

The bullet brushed her leg and she was rushed to the hospital immediately after, from where she soon returned to continue with the wedding rituals.

According to English-language daily, India Today, police are yet to arrest the culprit and determine whether it was an accidental or intentional shot.

The bridegroom said, “Don’t know who the person was. Bullet brushed past her legs. Police was later called here,” according to news agency ANI.

The incident took place right when the groom was approaching the bride at the wedding stage, soon after the woman collapsed.

India Today also reported that at first doctors at the hospital refused the woman’s request to return to the event, however, she was eventually permitted to do so.
