The Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) Tourism department’s recent public outreach in Dubai evoked a good response in the UAE.
Aimed at promoting the tourist place as an all-season get-away, the event, held at Hotel Oberoi in Dubai on Friday, saw a huge public response.

“We aimed promotion of J&K to highlight the various attractions that our Union Territory (UT) offers. It is an important step towards targeting tourists from the Middle East,” Waseem Raja, Additional Secretary Tourism, J&K, told Gulf News.
Successful Dubai event
The Dubai event was attended by prominent travel operators, media persons, government officials from India’s Ministry of Tourism, and general members of the public. Various prominent people from the J&K diaspora in Dubai also attended the glittering event.
“Holidaymakers can explore the natural beauty, cuisine, art, culture and other products offered by the UT,” Additional Secretary Tourism added.
During the event, Waseem Raja made a detailed presentation to showcase the beautiful destinations of J&K.
Dubai travel fraternity complemented the Tourism department of J&K for organising the event and assured the department of their support in promoting J&K tourism in the UAE.
