Dubai: A helicopter spinning out of control over the Indian village of Alwar with a BJP MP in it sent social media into a tizzy today.
@SiddG19 tweeted: “Hey chopper, how dare you lose control when our #bjp MP is sitting inside.... Next time take care of it!!”
A video of the incident was shared by Asian News International (ANI) from their official twitter handle (@ANI). In the 44-second clip, the red helicopter carrying the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Mahant Balaknath was seen spinning in circles a few meters above the ground, in front of a group of confused onlookers. Was the aircraft out of control? No details are available.
As tweep @Mayank_P_Grover pointed out that it “should have landed immediately”.
Some people standing in the area thought it was a stunt, and waved at the helicopter. Tweep @VishySahu posted: “Guy clapping [in the video] there thinking it was a wilful stunt.”
And @DPKNAMBIAR added: “… dudes on ground are waving as if it was @akshaykumar doing a stunt.”
Some also focused on the need of Indian politicians to get around using helicopters and planes. @ShivamKreal tweeted: “Why risk your life. Travel via plane, bus or train. Better late than never #watch.”
