Hyderabad: Craving for a luxurious life landed a MBA graduate behind the bars as he took the path of crime to make some quick and easy money.

Police in Cyberabad, adjoining Hyderabad arrested a gold medallist in Master of Business Administration M Vamsi Krishna alias Lokesh alias Sam Richards in connection with 23 cases of burglary and theft.

Krishna, a resident of Vetapalem village in Prakasham district had done his MBA from a private college in 2004 and had won a gold medal for his impressive performance in studies.

Cyberabad Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar told media that Krishna’s modus operandi was to target locked and secluded houses and decamp with the valuables. “He was particularly interested in gold jewellery and ornaments which he used to mortgage with the financial institutions like Muthoot Finance and Manappuram”, he said.

Though he was caught in the past and had a history sheet against him, he managed to dodge the police as he used to be on the move taking shelter in different cities, he added.
