Addis Ababa: Eritrean President Isaias Afwerki arrived in Ethiopia on Saturday on a historic visit to cement peace less than a week after the two nations declared an end to a two-decade conflict, an AFP reporter said.

Afwerki was greeted by Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmad as a brass band played before inspecting a guard of honour on the start of the three-day visit.
