Abu Dhabi Here’s your chance to put on your running shoes for a noble cause. The annual Zayed Sports City Pink 5 & 10K Run which is aimed at increasing breast cancer awareness and improving the wellbeing of the community will be held on October 13.
Funds raised from the event will be donated to the Al Jalila Foundation, a charitable organisation promoting medical education and research in the UAE.
Participants will receive a finisher’s medal, photo service, timing, #RUN4PINK t-shirt, sports bag, water bottle and a bandana.
“With 1,200 plus runners, this is perhaps the only mix family run in the UAE where ladies outnumber men. Many of those running have someone close to them who has been affected directly or indirectly by cancer. The event is meant for all ages and fitness levels. It encourages runners to achieve their ambition whether it is simply completing the course or setting a personal best,” said Steve Watson, Managing Partner of Gulf Multi Sport which is conducting the event.
