Worker falls to death from 28th floor

Sharjah: A man plunged to his death from a high-rise building on Wednesday, police said on Thursday. It is the sixth such incident to have taken place this week.

The 44-year-old Indian worker died after falling from the 28th floor of a building under construction, a police official said.

A team from the Criminal and Investigation Department (CID) was dispatched to the scene. The man was transferred to hospital where he was pronounced dead and the body was moved to the forensic laboratory.

Police are investigating whether the fall was suicide-related.
