Strong winds are expected to repeatedly blow dust and sand during the day in UAE
Dubai: It is raining in Al Ain. Light to moderate rainfall was reported in Al Shiklah and Um Ghaffa on Saturday evening around 6:30 pm. Light rain has also been reported in Owtaid, in the Al Dhafra region this afternoon, marking the start of a mixed weather pattern for the UAE. Meanwhile, Abu Dhabi and Dubai are experiencing cloudy skies as the National Center of Meteorology (NCM) issues yellow weather alerts for cloud activity across parts of Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Al Ain.
The lowest temperature recorded today was a refreshing 24.5°C in Al Heben Mountain (Fujairah) at 6 AM. UAE residents can expect these cloudy conditions and scattered rain to continue through today and into tomorrow in some areas. The NCM has warned of further cloud activity.
Looking ahead, tomorrow will bring more clouds, especially in the afternoon, with a slight dip in temperatures across coastal and northern regions. Humid conditions are forecast for tonight and Sunday morning, increasing the chance of mist forming in some inland areas. Winds will be light to moderate, from the Northeasterly to Northwesterly direction, picking up to speeds of 10-25 km/h and gusting up to 45 km/h at times.
Despite the chance of rain, temperatures are expected to remain hot, with maximums soaring into the high 40s. Drivers should exercise extra caution due to potential reduced visibility from blowing dust. Those with allergies are also advised to take precautions when outdoors.
