UAE weather update: Foggy conditions to reduce visibility

Al Ain: Fog and mist patches are expected to reduce visibility to less than 500 metres Sunday night and early Monday morning in the interior areas of the emirates.

The national weather bureau has issued a weather alert asking people to be careful on highways.

“We are expecting mist and fog over some areas later tonight,” said a duty forecaster. Since fog formation is normally in patches, it could be thick in some areas, reducing visibility to considerably low levels, he added.

The forecaster said weather will become fair in general by noon Monday. Conditions will be mild to rather hot during the daytime. It will be cold in internal and mountainous areas by night.

Winds are expected to be light to moderate and humidity is likely to increase at night and early in the morning.
