UAE weather: Partly cloudy skies, rising temperatures expected this week

Dubai: Residents in the UAE can expect varied weather conditions, as forecasted by the Met Office. This evening, fair to partly cloudy skies cover the region. Areas to the north and east may experience increased cloud cover, with a slight chance of light rain. Humidity levels are starting to rise as the night progresses, which could lead to mist forming in inland and coastal areas by Monday morning.

The lowest temperature recorded was below 10°C in Jebel Jais, Ras Al Khaimah, making it one of the chilliest spots in the country.

Today at 6:30 am, the National Center of Meteorology registered a temperature of just 8.1°C, indicative of the cooler weather impacting the region.

Winds are expected to remain light to moderate, but can be fresh at times, particularly in the northern regions where some dust may kick up. The Arabian Gulf will be rough, while the Oman Sea is currently slight to moderate but may become rough later in the night.

Monday forecast

Looking ahead to Monday, anticipate a continuation of fair to partly cloudy conditions with a gradual increase in temperatures throughout the day. Low-lying clouds are anticipated in some of the western areas and on various islands. There may also be times when the skies turn cloudy, especially in the northern parts of the country.

The humidity will persist into the night and into Tuesday morning, creating a likelihood of fog or mist development over certain coastal and western areas.

Winds will shift to light to moderate, blowing from the northwesterly to northeasterly direction, with speeds ranging from 10 to 20 km/h, reaching up to 30 km/h at times. Sea conditions will see some improvement in the Arabian Gulf, transitioning from rough in the morning to moderate to slight during the day, while the Oman Sea is expected to remain slight.
