Dubai: UAE residents are advised to brace themselves for a humid weather conditions today, particularly in coastal regions. This surge in humidity will significantly influence the 'feels like' temperature, making it feel warmer than the actual air temperature readings suggest.

According to the National Center for Meteorology (NCM), the sky is expected to range from fair to partly cloudy, with clouds forming over eastern areas by the afternoon hours. Temperature ranges are projected to be as follows: coastal and island regions will see highs between 41°C and 36°C, while internal areas may reach as high as 45°C, with lows around 40°C. In the mountainous regions, temperatures will vary from 35°C to 30°C.

Humidity levels along the coast are expected to hover between a steamy 90 per cent and 65 per cent, contributing to a muggy atmosphere. As night falls and into Friday morning, residents should anticipate lingering humidity, which may lead to the formation of fog or mist in certain coastal and inland areas.

Winds will predominantly come from the northwest and southwest at speeds of 15 to 25 kilometres per hour, occasionally intensifying to 40 km/h during the day. These light to moderate winds may also stir up some dust in the atmosphere.

Sea conditions are forecasted to be moderate to slight in the Arabian Gulf and mild in the Oman Sea, making for potentially challenging conditions for maritime activities.
