Dubai: In a post shared by the Abu Dhabi Media Office on X (formerly Twitter), rain of varying intensity is expected to affect parts of the Al Ain and Al Dhafra regions in the coming days.

Authorities are urging the public to take necessary precautions, including:

  • Adhering to reduced speed limits during wet or low-visibility conditions

  • Avoiding valleys and flood-prone areas during periods of heavy rainfall

  • Carrying first aid kits and preparing alternative light sources in case of power disruptions

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has urged motorists to exercise extreme caution, warning that roads may become slippery and visibility reduced during sudden weather shifts.

The weather bureau has advised the motorists to avoid driving unless necessary. If travel is unavoidable, drivers should:

  • Switch on low-beam headlights

  • Reduce speed and maintain a safe distance

  • Stay updated via official forecasts and advisories

Meanwhile, dangerous heat continues to grip the UAE.
According to AccuWeather:

  • Abu Dhabi: Currently 38°C, expected to reach 44°C with “very dangerous heat” and strong sun. Tonight: clear and warm at 34°C.

  • Dubai: Currently 45°C, with highs peaking at 46°C under hazy skies. Tonight: clear and very warm at 34°C.

The NCM has also issued an extended forecast covering high and low temperatures across UAE cities in the coming days. Residents are urged to follow official updates and comply with safety instructions issued by authorities during extreme weather conditions.
