Dubai: Foggy conditions to continue across parts of the UAE, the National Center of Meteorology (NCM) forecasts. Early this morning, the NCM also issued a fog alert, urging motorists to exercise caution.

According to NCM, clear to partly cloudy conditions are to be expected at times over eastern and northern areas, with a probability of light rainfall, today.

The highest temperature recorded today was 28.2 degree Celsius in Tawiyen area in Al Fujairah. Meanwhile, the lowest temperature recorded was 5.6 degree Celsius in Raknah area in Al Ain.

According to NCM, clear to partly cloudy skies are to be expected over the week, with a chance of fog and mist formation over some coastal and internal areas.

The forecast also states there will be a chance of rain at intervals over the islands and some northern and eastern areas, from Friday, January 17 to Sunday, January 19.

Winds will be light to moderate, and freshening at times, with speeds reaching up to 40 km/hr.
