Strong afternoon winds sweep through Dubai, while Sunday brings patchy clouds
Dubai: A sunny afternoon in Dubai has taken a dramatic turn as dusty winds sweep across the city, creating hazy conditions and lowering visibility in some areas. The gusty weather has added a layer of grit to an otherwise bright day, with residents advised to take precautions, especially those with respiratory sensitivities. Drivers are urged to stay alert and reduce speed, as visibility may drop suddenly especially on open highways and exposed areas.
According to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM), the lowest temperature recorded across the UAE this morning was a brisk 23.2°C in the cool heights of Jais Mountain, Ras Al Khaimah, at 3:30 am - a refreshing contrast to the dry and dusty heat prevailing in the lowlands.
What’s ahead for tomorrow?
The weather is expected to remain fair to partly cloudy tomorrow, with cloud cover increasing in the northern and eastern regions by night. Winds will continue to blow from the southwest to northwest, ranging from light to moderate but occasionally freshening during the day, reaching speeds of up to 35 km/h.
Maritime conditions are expected to stay calm, with slight waves in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
