Dubai: The heat is on in Habshan and Asab, Abu Dhabi, as dust sweeps across the landscape this afternoon! The National Center of Meteorology has issued dust alert for Abu Dhabi until 8pm tonight. Residents urged to take precautions due to reduced visibility because of dusty conditions expected throughout the evening.

But brace yourselves, because tomorrow brings a dramatic shift in the weather. Expect partly cloudy to downright overcast skies in Northern, Eastern, and coastal areas, with a chance of rainfall that could bring a refreshing surprise. As night falls, the humidity will ramp up, especially in the interior regions. Saturday morning could bring a misty, foggy embrace, so be prepared for reduced visibility.

On top of all this, light to moderate winds from the Northwesterly to Northeasterly direction will pick up speed, freshening at times and causing dust to swirl through the air at speeds between 15 – 30 km/hr, possibly reaching 40 km/hr.

The seas aren’t taking a break either! The Arabian Gulf will be rough to moderate, while the Oman Sea stays moderate to slight.

The Met Office has issued detailed forecasts for the cities across the UAE, so stay tuned and keep an eye on their latest updates! Watch their video for all the important details.
