Dubai: Dubai Municipality on Wednesday announced the launch of the ‘Mushrif Hub’ initiative in Mushrif National Park, unveiling a dynamic destination that combines nature, sport, entertainment, and community engagement.

Located in one of Dubai’s largest and most iconic parks, the Mushrif Hub offers a diverse range of facilities aimed at enhancing the quality of life for both residents and visitors. The initiative is part of the municipality’s wider plan to upgrade public parks across the emirate, in line with its strategic vision to promote wellbeing and an active lifestyle, the civic body said.

The Mushrif Hub features the longest mountain bike track in the heart of Dubai, a dedicated skills area, and extensive amenities including cafés, restaurants, changing rooms, showers, and a chapel.

Key features

A standout feature of the initiative is a 9.7-kilometre mountain hiking trail, the first of its kind in central Dubai. The walking track caters to a variety of skill levels, from casual walkers to more advanced hikers.

Additionally, a 50km mountain biking track has been constructed, divided into three colour-coded difficulty levels: green track for beginners, blue track for intermediate riders and red track for professional mountain bikers.

Extended operational hours

Dubai Municipality has also enhanced Mushrif Hub's features by adding lighting elements to extend the initiative's operating hours into the night, enhancing visitors' experiences and enjoyment of their time in the evening.

Several sporting events, such as cycling and running races, are set to take place at the site. These events aim to bring together government and private sector entities to host community activities that promote fitness and recreation in a natural setting. There is also a special facility for bike washing.

“The Mushrif Hub initiative reflects Dubai Municipality’s commitment to enhancing the attractiveness and leadership of Dubai through the development of integrated, high-quality public spaces,” said Bader Anwahi, CEO of the Public Facilities Agency at Dubai Municipality.

"This new destination brings together recreational, sporting and cultural elements in a natural setting, offering a diverse and inclusive experience for residents and visitors. Our goal is to strengthen the community’s connection with nature while supporting a healthier, more active lifestyle and reinforcing Dubai’s position as one of the world’s best cities to live and visit.”
