Dubai: Dubai’s Emirates Airline has denied sacking crew members involved in a behind-the-scenes (BTS) video in which they had allegedly committed policy violations.

In a statement to Gulf News on Wednesday, Emirates said it had already investigated the matter, but did not dismiss any crew.

“Emirates is aware of the video mentioned and had investigated the matter at the time. We can confirm that no crew was dismissed as a result,” an Emirates spokesperson said in the statement.

The BTS video in question was uploaded in May 2024 by a former Emirates flight attendant. The video of a trip to Shanghai titled ‘Things you DON’T see as a Passenger,’ allegedly showcased several policy violations, including unauthorised food preparation and restricted area access, as reported by a section of the media which quoted “insiders” and “social media posts” that said Emirates had subsequently dismissed her former colleagues featured in the video.

It is not immediately clear if Emirates has taken any other measures against the circulation of the video which is still available on YouTube and has hit 1.3million views at the time of publication.
