Valentine starts project in Iran
Valentine Maritime Gulf LLC, an Abu Dhabi-based offshore construction company, has embarked on a Dh100 million project in Iran, it announced yesterday.
It has undertaken the Aboozar field development project in the northern Gulf for the Iranian Offshore Oil Co.
The work includes laying 12 oil pipelines with diameters of 10 to 24 inches. It also covers the performance of 26 subsea tie-ins and 24 risers at a depth of 40 metres and is expected to be completed by July 2003.
Valentine recently installed a 14-inch submarine pipeline for TotalFina Elf in Iran's Balal Field and a 36-inch export pipeline with Calm Buoy terminal for Saudi Texaco in Kuwait.
"These projects were follow-ups to the installation of a 30-inch condensate export pipeline with Calm Buoy terminal last year for Petropars of Iran as part of the South Pars field development project, phase one," it said.
Valentine Maritime Gulf, part of Al Bawardi Enterprises, specialises in laying submarine pipelines, installation of offshore platforms, salvage and subsea engineered projects, in addition to chartering of specialised derrick and jack-up bridges.
