Students score top marks, 100% pass rates and scholarships across top universities
Dubai: Students from the UAE studying the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum have delivered stellar performances as the results of the Diploma Programme (DP) and Career-related Programme (CP) exams were announced.
Students at GEMS Education’s IB schools once again demonstrated academic excellence, outperforming global standards. A total of 645 Grade 12/Year 13 students from seven GEMS schools sat the IB exams this year. Collectively, they achieved an impressive average point score of 34 in the DP, with a pass rate of 95 per cent. Both results surpass the global average of 30 points and a pass rate of 80 per cent.
In a standout achievement, three GEMS students secured a perfect score of 45 – an exceptional feat accomplished by fewer than 0.5 per cent of candidates globally.
These strong results open the doors for GEMS graduates to gain admission to top-tier universities worldwide.
Lisa Crausby OBE, Group Chief Education Officer at GEMS Education, noted that the outstanding results reflected the students’ tireless efforts and the dedication of their educators.
“Every success story here speaks to the strength of our IB programmes and the values that underpin a GEMS education.”
As many as 49 students from three GEMS schools (GEMS International School – Al Khail, GEMS Wellington Academy – Silicon Oasis, and GEMS Wellington International School) completed the IB CP.
The seven GEMS schools offering the IB are: GEMS World Academy – Dubai, GEMS International School – Al Khail, GEMS Wellington International School, GEMS Wellington Academy – Silicon Oasis, GEMS Dubai American Academy, GEMS American Academy – Abu Dhabi, and GEMS Modern Academy.
At Repton School Dubai, 87 per cent of students scored above the global average of 30 points, with the school’s average score being 35 points.
Many students exceeded expectations, including Suphia Al Falasi, the highest-scoring Emirati student, who achieved 39 points and secured a place to study Law at the University of Bristol.
Meanwhile, school topper Maryam Perjessy scored 43 points and will be heading to the University of Michigan to pursue chemical engineering. Other top scorers include Ben Gosling (41) and Umar Suleman (40).
Michael Bloy, Principal of Repton Dubai School, said: “These results reflect not only academic rigour, but also the resilience, creativity, and critical thinking our students embody. I congratulate every graduate and thank our dedicated staff and supportive families who have guided them on this journey.”
This year’s IB cohort has received offers from prestigious institutions such as University College London, Edinburgh University, Kings College London, the University of San Diego and many more.

Poonam Bhojani, CEO of Innoventures Education, hailed this year’s record-breaking results as a testament to the students’ passion, resilience, and determination backed by the relentless commitment of educators and strong support from parents.
“We couldn’t be prouder of this incredible cohort and look forward to all that they will go on to achieve.”
Richard Drew, Chair of the UAE IB Association, applauded the outstanding performance of students who completed the DP and CP this year.
“This year’s cohort has once again demonstrated the resilience, determination, and global-minded spirit that define the IB experience,” Drew said, noting that a select group achieved the maximum score of 45 points – a rare feat attained by only a small percentage of IB graduates worldwide.
Drew said the students’ success reflects not only academic excellence but also the holistic growth promoted by the IB curriculum.
“Each journey is unique, and every outcome is the result of months (and often years) of hard work, perseverance, and curiosity,” he said, acknowledging all students who secured placements in universities both in the UAE and abroad.
Drew also praised the crucial role played by families, educators and school communities in empowering students to thrive. “Your commitment continues to shape the UAE’s future as a hub for educational excellence and international-minded leadership.”
