Weekend lane closures announced on Sheikh Maktoum Bin Rashid Road toward Dubai
Motorists urged to exercise caution, follow posted signs, and consider alternative routes
Abu Dhabi: Motorists travelling on Sheikh Maktoum Bin Rashid Road (E11) toward Dubai should expect lane closures over the weekend, Abu Dhabi Mobility announced on Friday.
The partial closure will take place in two stages. Two right lanes in the Dubai-bound direction will be closed from 10:30pm on Friday, 15 August 2025, until 3:00pm on Saturday, 16 August 2025.
The closure will then shift to the two left lanes in the same direction from 10:30pm on Saturday until 3:00pm on Sunday, 17 August 2025.
The works will be carried out near the interchange with Abu Dhabi–Al Ain Road, in the Baniyas West area, affecting a key route linking the capital to Dubai.
Authorities have urged drivers to exercise caution, follow posted signs, and consider alternative routes where possible to avoid delays.
