Dubai: Reckless driving could have cost schoolchildren their lives in Abu Dhabi. A video posted on the social media channels of Abu Dhabi Police showed a car driving across a school bus to take a sharp turn, narrowly missing the bus.

As part of their ‘Give your comment’ campaign, Abu Dhabi Police posted the video adding that the driver broke all driving rules and regulations, endangering the lives of children in the bus.

Colonel Mohammad Ali Al Muhairi, Director of Security Media Department, was quoted as saying that the aim of these videos is to expose people to the serious violations of some drivers and improve overall driving behaviour through dialogue and discussion.

The post has received several comments, including one by Instagram user @sooraj3000, writing: “Very dangerous driving. The driver should be heavily fined and given black points.”

The police department has been posting videos as part of their campaign since June (https://gulfnews.com/news/uae/transport/silly-errors-that-uae-motorists-do-1.2235448) including a video of a horrific car crash, after a four-wheel drive broke the traffic signal in the capital.
